Manufactured by Fujifilm Medwork Germany and recently launched to the European market at the 28th Düsseldorf International Endoscopy Symposium, FlexCan® is compatible* with FUJIFILM’s latest ELUXEO® 8000 endoscopy solution. It joins an entire series of new and upcoming innovations to be released under the ‘WELCOME, FUTURE’ initiative.
LAUNCHED AT DÜSSELDORF INTERNATIONAL ENDOSCOPY SYMPOSIUM
Recently launched at the 28th edition of the Düsseldorf International Endoscopy Symposium, FlexCan® received an exciting welcome from the endoscopy community, as summarised in a symposium presentation delivered by Prof. Weigt:
“The new specialised FlexCan® Steerable ERCP Cannula has a build that is similar to a sphincterotome. It shows superior rotatable function, has a shorter bending section for easy use in a small lumen and can be used with a straight wire.
First impressions - it may facilitate difficult cannulation such as juxtapapillary diverticulum, and targeted cannulation such as branching strictures. It may also facilitate access in bilio-digestive anastomosis. I look forward to planned studies to explore the benefits further.”

OVERCOMING COMPLEX CANNULATION WITH FLEXIBILITY
FlexCan® is a specialised ERCP cannula available in the European market, designed with key flexibility features to deliver an advanced level of bending and rotational performance. With a tip designed to achieve 90-degree angulation and responsiveness in challenging endoscopic positions, FlexCan® is engineered to support clinicians with precise control when required. Additionally, the thin cannula bends just 9 mm from the tip, supporting endoscopists with manoeuvrability in narrow lumens.
Overall, FlexCan® offers endoscopy professionals an opportunity for enhanced control during ERCP procedures, supporting efficient management of cannulation challenges within complex and difficult anatomy.
EXCLUSIVE BI-DIRECTIONAL 360o ROTATION FOR DIRECTIONAL CONTROL
With a tip that can rotate up to 360 degrees in both directions, FlexCan® is designed to provide directional control within the lumen. This enhanced rotatability stands out in comparison to other cannulas currently on the market and is expected to support clinicians when navigating challenging anatomy for complex cannulations.
Featuring highly visible X-ray and endoscopic markers, FlexCan® supports the endoscopist with an accurate indication of its positioning and location during procedures.
COMPATIBILITY WITH STANDARD AND ENTERESCOPE-ASSISTED ERCP
Featuring a thin 1.5mm tip diameter and 2.3mm catheter diameter, the FlexCan® is available in both long and short versions, ensuring compatibility with standard duodenoscopes, short and long enteroscopes. With enhanced bending and rotational capabilities, FlexCan® is designed to facilitate cannulation using front-view enteroscopes during ERCP procedures for patients with altered anatomy.
